International Camps

  • Sweden Camp for treble/high voices May 30-June 12 (14 days): Kongero ensemble & Mollie Stone  - initial retreat at Eric Sahlstrom Institute in Tobo, Sweden ~ $2100 / $1900 youth

  • Corsica Camp June 18-July 6 (19 days): Jean Etienne Langianni, Patty Cuyler, Aurelia Shrenker - at I Fioretti in Canari village, Corsica ~ $2300 / $2100 youth

  • Occitan Residential Week  July 21-27 (7 days): Brendan Taaffe, Manu Théron, Audrey Peinado - with posh accommodations & meals at Monastere de Segries in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Provence, France ~ $1300 / $1150 youth

  • Italy Residential Camp August 5-11 (7 days): Carlo Pozzoli, Matlakala Bopape, Suzannah Park - at Abbazia di Maguzzano in Lonato, Italy ~ $1100 / $950 youth

  • Caucasus Georgia Camp August 12-26 (15 days): Ketevan Mindorashvili, Patty Cuyler, Zedashe Ensemble - based in Sighnaghi, Kakheti, Republic of Georgia ~ $2100 / $1900 youth

Our Mission

Village Harmony is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to the study, performance and celebration of diverse styles of traditional choral music. Working with an international team of culture-bearing musicians we provide a wide range of educational and performance opportunities for amateur musicians around the world. Our aim is to promote cultural awareness and community through direct and ethical cultural exchange.

VILLAGE HARMONY acts as an umbrella organization sponsoring a wide range of choral activities, including:

  • We offer an array of New England teen & alumni study-performance summer camps. LEARN MORE

    Our residential summer adult weeks take place annually in New England & Oregon, and less regularly in Kentucky & Quebec. LEARN MORE

    Each year we offer 4 or 5 non-US study-performance camps for mixed ages. Past programs have included the Republic of Georgia, Corsica, South Africa, Cuba, the UK, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Ghana, Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Ukraine, and Lithuania. LEARN MORE

  • Each year we sponsor individual tradition bearers and international folk music ensembles to come to the USA to perform and/or teach with us.

  • We offer a wide range of online workshops and courses in partnership with our remarkable international teaching community of tradition bearers.

    From one hour community singing sessions to semester long course we have delighted in creating these easy to use online offerings.

  • We are currently working on launching an online archival Village Harmony Music Library in honor of founder Larry Gordon. This interactive library will allow searches of the VH archive by teacher, camp session, genre or year. Consider making a donation to celebrate Larry’s legacy of sharing music through this ongoing project.

    We also have an online store of music available for purchase. Recordings, song books and DVD’s are available as downloadable PDF/audio/video files.

  • Northern Harmony is the highest level performing group under the Village Harmony umbrella.

    Since 1993 the groups have toured and performed widely throughout America and Europe to great critical acclaim.
